At LA Active Sports, we believe every child deserves a chance to play, dream, and grow—no matter where they come from. That’s why we’re committed to removing the traditional pay-to-play model and creating free, accessible opportunities for youth in underrepresented communities to play the game they love.
That belief came to life in the most impactful way at our recent Soccer Championship Event, thanks to the powerful partnership between LAFC, BMO, and our organization.
This event was more than just a day of soccer. It was a celebration of possibility, unity, and what happens when a community comes together to uplift its youth.
Thanks to LAFC and BMO, children of all ages, many from underrepresented and marginalized communities, were able to compete in a championship on futsal fields, free of charge. The joy on their faces as they played the game they love, surrounded by support and opportunity, was a powerful reminder of why we do this work.
As part of this incredible day:
LAFC players, Maxime Chanot, Adam Saldana, and Adrian Wibowo showed up—not just to sign autographs or take photos, but to connect. They shared advice, encouragement, and their personal journeys with the next generation of soccer players.
Lunch was provided for every participant and their families, reminding us that nourishment goes beyond food—it’s also about showing people they matter.
Giveaways added extra excitement, and smiles stretched across the fields as families won gear, gifts, and more.
This wasn’t just a championship, it was a moment where kids could see themselves as champions. Where they could look into the eyes of professional athletes who look like them, speak like them, and believe in them.
We are deeply grateful to LAFC and BMO for investing in the futures of our youth and standing with us in our mission to make soccer accessible to all. Together, we’re not just building athletes, we’re building community, confidence, and lifelong dreams.
